This privacy statement relates to the website www.blackcountrylocallist.org.uk
We take your privacy and the security of your information very seriously. Any personal information that you provide will only be used to register your interest in the Black Country Local Heritage List campaign or to process your nomination of a heritage asset for the Local Heritage List and will not be used for any other purpose. All data will be stored and processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018.
The processing of nomination responses and communications about the Black Country Local Heritage List campaign are being carried out on behalf of City of Wolverhampton Council by TDR Heritage Ltd. City of Wolverhampton’s privacy policy is available here.
What we collect
You do not need to provide any personal information to make a nomination to the Black Country Local Heritage List. With your permission we collect the following information from you:
- Name
- Postal address
- Telephone number
- Organisation name (if applicable)
Uploading media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
What we do with the information we gather
We use this information to provide a service that allows us to engage via email or post for the purposes of receiving updates and processing nominations relating to the Black Country Local Heritage List campaign.
Telling us about changes to your information
You have the right to have inaccurate/outdated information amended, deleted or destroyed. If any of your details change please report these via the contact page.

You can opt out of receiving emails from us at any time by letting us know via the contact page.

If you have submitted nominations via this site you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you by getting in touch using the contact page.
Who we share your data with
Following the completion of the Black Country Local Heritage List campaign (late spring/early summer 2022) the local list nominations will be passed to the four Black Country local authorities and all personal data will be deleted from this website. Any personal data submitted as part of the nomination process will be used for communications relating to the Black Country Local Heritage List public consultation and for no other purpose.
